Gemma was our first employee, joining us way back in July 2014 and amazingly still works for Premium Sales. In this blog, Gemma tells us all about why she joined us, but more importantly, why she’s still with us!
Why did you join Premium Sales?
I genuinely enjoy being on the phone and selling! I was looking for a role that would be fast paced, challenging and rewarding. The opportunity with Premium Sales was perfect! It offered flexible working hours which helped greatly with the school run – this is so hard to find that it was a massive bonus to joining the Company!
Tell us about your current role within Premium Sales?
I am currently working in the recently founded Prospect Conversion & Client Development Team. I am responsible for helping Premium Sales’ clients with the conversion of prospects secured by our Lead Generation Team. My role consists of discussing the Sales Pipeline with our Clients to ensure they are happy with the prospects that we are putting forwards. We establish action points for each of the prospects, and I then complete any follow-up activity required to take the prospect through to decision phase. This could be chasing feedback on appointments or proposals, along with sending and chasing account forms!
How has your career progressed during your time with Premium Sales?
I began as a Telemarketing Executive – in those days I did a bit of everything! We didn’t have separate Teams and so we had to be diverse and reactive, applying myself to the entire sales process. I then became overall Team Leader was involved in the recruitment, training and mentoring of the Sales Team. Although I am now working in Prospect Conversion & Client Development, I still retain part of the recruitment process, and complete all coaching and mentoring with our Team members. This is a part of the role I thoroughly enjoy and hope the Team do also!
What has made you stay with Premium Sales for so long?
Premium Sales continues to offer me the flexibility I need and also gives me progression within my role. I have had the opportunity to act as a coach and a mentor, supporting training with new starters and also the ongoing development of the current team. My teammates are really great to work alongside and I love speaking with prospects and customers – I just enjoy sales on the whole!
How has the business changed from when you first joined until now?
The business has changed drastically, from 2 employees working in Becky’s spare bedroom, to now being on offsite premises with circa. 20 members of staff! Internally the operational and quality processes are top notch. We are constantly evolving and adapting to our clients’ needs and I can take pride in knowing that our work really makes a difference to their businesses!
Why do you think people should outsource their sales??
I think if you use a company like Premium Sales you know you are getting an array of talent from our experienced team. You don’t have the hassle of managing a person or a sales team – we take care of everything from generating the leads, obtaining decision maker names, qualifying prospects to secure appointments and quotation opportunities, and ultimately helping our clients to increase their customer base and profitability.
