Mindset & Attitude
There is no denying that mindset & attitude can have a huge impact on how your day goes. If you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, you have to make a conscious effort to ensure that it doesn’t affect the whole of your day. Do something that you know makes you feel good: Go for a morning jog, make some fresh coffee, put on some Taylor Swift and dance around your house for half an hour! Do something to stop the cycle of grumpiness before it takes hold. In a sales environment, confidence and resilience are very important. You need to learn techniques to stop a morning of knock backs impacting the rest of your day – take a break to reset your mind before starting your afternoon.Scheduling and Prioritisation
As a self-confessed scatter brain, scheduling and prioritisation are super important to me. I get easily distracted and can forget things when I feel overwhelmed by all the tasks I need to complete. To combat this, I always write a to-do list, prioritise things by importance/ time constraints and then set a time limit on each activity to make sure I use my time effectively.Effective Prospecting& Lead Generation
Work smarter and not harder is a mantra I strongly believe in when it comes to lead generation and prospecting. It is important that when you generate leads that you get the right ones. Think about your target industries, locations and company size. It is good to have a mix of prospects, some which could potentially be smaller, quick wins and also some larger, more complex prospects that could be strategic accounts. Lead Generation is more than just a google search or yell.com. People are now generating leads through Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
